Make your mark on society

As part of the Festival of Social Science, TSRC is using its knowledge and expertise to raise awareness of the third sector amongst young people.

Working in collaboration with the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and the Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy (CGAP), we will be holding stalls at the UCAS higher education fairs in Exeter and Bristol. We aim to let young people know more about opportunities offered by the sector - as a career, in academia, or through volunteering or giving.

UCAS fairs are aimed at 16-17 year olds. After leaving college, young people make life changing choices about the subjects they wish to study and the career paths they wish to take. The information they receive at this critical time has the potential to impact heavily on their lives. These events will offer young people information about the third sector which they may not otherwise have the opportunity to gain. They will have a chance to talk to people with experience in the sector and access recourses to find out more.

The UCAS fairs will be held on 15th and 16th March in Exeter, and the 18th and 19th March in Bristol.
