Social investment - using finance to generate social as well as economic return – is gaining popular and political currency. Optimists believe we are seeing a shift change in the way people invest, which will create significant opportunities for social and charitable funding. But what does social investment really mean for charities and voluntary organisations? How can they access social investment funds?
